Chosen by Forbes as one of the twenty-five most influential women in travel (2008), Patricia Schultz is the author of 1,000 Places To See Before You Die and 1,000 Places To See in the U.S.A. and Canada Before You Die (Workman Publishing), both New York Times number-one bestsellers. She is also the executive producer of the Travel Channel’s show of the same name. Based in New York City, she has written about travel for O, the Oprah Magazine, Every Day with Rachel Ray, The Wall Street Journal, and BusinessWeek. She has lived and traveled all over the world, and estimates that she’s visited eighty percent of the places listed in her books…and counting! Her world book has been translated into twenty-nine languages, and a global brand includes items such as board games, calendars, and journals, to name just a few.
