Brandon Webb is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL. As a SEAL, he developed a niche as a sniper, and his career involved combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. He is most notably known for his work in running the Navy SEAL sniper course that is arguably the best sniper qualification course in the world.

While serving in SEAL Team 3 he distinguished himself as an expert marksman and was selected to attend the three-month Navy SEAL sniper course. As a Golf platoon sniper he participated in operation “Determined Response” in Aden, Yemen, after the USS Cole was attacked by suicide terrorist bombers. As a sniper team leader he stood a nightly sniper watch onboard the USS Cole while she lay stricken in the harbor. Following September 11, 2001, his platoon was staged in Oman and soon deployed to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom, where he conducted more than six months of sustained combat operations in theater. As an Echo platoon sniper he was a critical member of the assault force that resulted in multiple enemy KIA (killed in action) and destruction of Taliban/Al-Qaeda support facilities and cave complexes. Webb was also involved in the first joint U.S. special operations exercise with the German Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK).

After his assignment with SEAL Team 3 he was selected to join the Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment Sniper Cell. During this tour, Webb was in charge of developing advanced sniper training for maritime, helicopter, and urban sniper operations. He was involved with the research, development, testing, and evaluation of sniper weapons systems and optics and he was selected by WARCOM (the United States Naval Special Warfare Command) to represent the SEAL community as a subject matter expert on the next generation of special operations weapons systems. Additionally, Webb was asked to serve as an advisor on the re-development of the Navy SEAL sniper course; upon completion, he was asked to join the initial cadre.

During Webb’s tour at the SEAL sniper course he was immediately recognized for his subject matter expertise and accomplishments on and off the battlefield, leading to his selection as sniper course manager. He also co-authored the Naval Special Warfare Sniper Tactical Memorandum, a document that outlines training and capabilities for all SEAL snipers.

In 2006, Webb decided to retire from the Navy to found the Wind Zero Group, Inc. He recognized that Southern California had a shortage of training areas, forcing most agencies to send personnel out of state (and often out of the region) to meet their training requirements. Wind Zero is focused on developing a next-generation government training facility that includes state-of-the-art ranges and a race track on 1,000 acres just east of San Diego.

A serial entrepreneur, Webb is also a partner and on the board of directors of Neptunic Technologies, Inc.. Neptunic most notably invented the shark-diving suit and is a next-generation protective materials company.

Webb is an avid Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot and is developing a plan with his former teammate Glen Doherty to break the single engine around-the-world speed record. He resides in La Jolla, California.
